We look at the underarm skin condition, how long the darkness has been present, likely contributing factors (shaving/waxing habits, friction, deodorant use), and whether you are also treating underarm hair.

At DIVA, underarm brightening generally follows the same general skin-brightening approach used in our whitening programs (see IV Whitening and Skin Whitening Drip), adapted to the smaller, more sensitive underarm area, combined with gentle exfoliation-focused care and, where relevant, alongside laser hair removal to reduce the shaving-related friction that can contribute to darkening.

There is no fixed number of sessions for every client. Frequency and course length are assessed individually based on your underarm skin condition and goal, and confirmed during consultation.
If a peeling/exfoliation approach is used, mild flaking similar to our general body peel aftercare (roughly 3–7 days) may occur. Exact downtime depends on what is recommended for your skin and is not the same for every client.
Keep the area clean and dry, avoid harsh scrubbing, and avoid strong deodorants or antiperspirants immediately after treatment if the skin feels sensitive. Wear looser clothing where possible to reduce friction while the area settles.
Underarm brightening is not recommended on broken, irritated or recently shaved/waxed skin — please tell us if this applies to you. Temporary irritation or sensitivity can occur. Because underarm darkening has multiple possible causes, results vary by individual condition, cause, number of sessions and aftercare, and we cannot guarantee complete evenness of tone.
