Dermal Filler in Poipet

Dermal filler (usually hyaluronic acid) for lip volume, chin, nose, cheek and facial-balance goals at DIVA Skin Clinic Poipet.

Treatment direction, area and volume depend on your facial anatomy, goal and suitability after assessment. This page does not promise a fixed or guaranteed result, and filler carries a rare but serious safety risk explained below — please read it before your appointment.

Service Overview

What Is Dermal Filler?

Dermal filler is an injectable gel — most commonly hyaluronic acid (HA) — that adds volume, shape or structure to a selected facial area. Unlike Botox, filler does not relax muscle; it physically adds volume where the face has lost it or needs more definition.

If your concern is wrinkles caused by facial expression rather than volume loss, that is usually addressed with Botox instead — see our separate Botox page.

Suitable For

Concerns Filler May Help

  • Thin lips or lips wanting more defined shape and volume
  • Chin projection and facial-profile balance
  • Nose contour refinement without surgery
  • Cheek / mid-face volume loss
  • Hollow or sunken under-eye area (tear trough)
  • Deep nasolabial folds (lines from nose to mouth corners)
Not Suitable For / Needs Review First
  • Clients under 18 years old
  • Pregnant or breastfeeding clients
  • Clients with active skin infection or inflammation in the treatment area
  • Clients with a known allergy to filler ingredients
  • Clients whose main concern is muscle-related expression lines rather than volume (Botox may be more suitable — assessed individually)

Suitability is checked before treatment. Please tell the clinic about allergies, medical conditions, current medication, previous filler elsewhere, or pregnancy status.

Assessment

How DIVA Evaluates Suitability

Before recommending filler, DIVA assesses your facial structure and vascular anatomy, the area of concern, your goal, medical history and allergy history. High-risk areas such as the nose and glabella (between the brows) are treated with extra caution regarding volume, depth and technique.

Clients may request to see the product packaging, brand, expiry date and batch number before treatment begins.

Treatment Direction

The General Approach

Filler is not sold as a fixed package at DIVA. The area, technique (including use of blunt-tipped cannula in higher-risk areas where appropriate) and volume used depend on your individual facial structure and goal. Some clients treat a single area such as the lips; others combine several areas, or combine filler with Botox, for overall facial balance across separate visits — planned according to assessment, not pre-sold as a package.

Sessions & Downtime

What to Expect

Filler results are visible immediately and commonly last around 6–18 months depending on the area and product used. Touch-up timing is planned individually as the filler naturally breaks down.

Mild swelling and bruising is normal, especially for lip filler. Clients are usually advised to avoid massage or pressure on the treated area for about 48 hours. Swelling usually resolves in 3–5 days, and the final result is generally visible once swelling fully settles, around 2 weeks.

Risk & Caution — Vascular Occlusion Warning Signs

Vascular occlusion is a rare but serious potential complication of filler injection, where filler blocks blood flow to the tissue supplied by a blood vessel. This is not written to frighten clients — filler performed with correct technique and authentic products is generally safe — but every client should know the warning signs and act immediately if they occur.

Contact DIVA Skin Clinic Poipet immediately, or seek urgent medical care, if you notice any of the following after filler:

  • Skin turning pale, white, grey, purple or bluish near the injection site
  • Skin that feels unusually cold or numb in the treated area
  • Pain that is severe or clearly out of proportion to normal post-filler tenderness
  • Vision changes, blurring or vision loss (especially after nose, brow or forehead-area filler) — treat this as a critical emergency and seek urgent care immediately
  • A mottled, net-like purple pattern developing on the skin

Do not apply pressure, massage or heat to the area if you notice these signs. Contact the clinic that performed the treatment immediately. If the clinic cannot be reached, go to the nearest emergency medical facility without delay — do not wait to see if it resolves on its own.

Aftercare

Aftercare Guidance

Follow the 48-hour precaution above. For full aftercare-by-treatment guidance and when to contact us for any reaction, see our Aftercare & Support page.

Other Possible Reactions

Hard nodules or lumps can occasionally form and most resolve on their own within several weeks; persistent nodules can usually be addressed at the clinic. Minor asymmetry after swelling settles unevenly is common and can usually be corrected at follow-up. Infection is rare but possible — increasing redness, warmth, swelling or pain after the first few days should be reported to the clinic promptly. HA filler can generally be dissolved if needed.

Price / Promotion

How long does filler last? +
Commonly around 6–18 months depending on the area and product used. This varies by individual.
What is vascular occlusion and how common is it? +
It is a rare but serious complication where filler blocks blood flow to tissue. It is uncommon in experienced hands, but every client should know the warning signs — see the Risk & Caution section above — and contact the clinic immediately if they occur.
Is there downtime? +
Mild swelling and bruising is normal and usually resolves in 3–5 days. Avoid massage or pressure on the area for about 48 hours. Final result is generally visible around 2 weeks.
Can filler be dissolved if I don't like the result? +
